Born just a few miles apart along the River Clyde, Mar Hall and Timorous Beasties share more than geography, they share spirit. One, a grand 19th-century manor with deep roots in Scottish history; the other, a Glasgow design studio known for challenging convention through bold, beautiful pattern.

Throughout the hotel, their fabrics and wallpapers have been thoughtfully placed, not to overpower, but to invite curiosity.

In the bar, the Bloomsbury Garden Wallpaper in Smokey Teal sets the tone with deep florals and a palette that shifts with the light. It’s subtle but striking, much like the room itself.

Elsewhere, you’ll find moments of playful contrast: the Pineapple Wallpaper with its tongue-in-cheek nod to classic print, or the soft, luxurious folds of Zig Zag Moth velvet, catching your eye just as you settle into a corner cushion.

In our suites, the Tropical Clouded Leopard fabric brings together the wild and the refined, lush, layered, and a little unexpected, yet perfectly at home.
