Wander Further. Feel the Stillness. Embrace the Wild.
Here at Mar Hall, we’ve spent the months since reopening not just restoring our much-loved estate, but reimagining how our guests might spend their days here.
Set across 240 acres of ancient woodland, gardens, and riverside views, Mar Hall is a place shaped by the land, and this summer, we’re inviting guests to step outside and discover it all for themselves.
Whether you’re meandering through tree-lined paths, picking up the pace on a bike trail, or pausing to watch squirrels and rabbits dart playfully across the grounds, there’s a new rhythm to life here, one rooted in nature, tradition, and a sense of quiet adventure.
Life Outside at Mar Hall
This is a summer of slow strolls, and joyful moments. Our outdoor experiences have been thoughtfully curated to help you explore the land in your own way, whether that’s by arrow, axe, or two wheels.
Here’s just a glimpse of what you can look forward to:
Golf – Long fairways, fresh air and quiet focus. Our championship 18-hole course is a favourite for all skill levels.

The Perfect Place to Pause
Mar Hall may feel worlds away, but we’re just 10 minutes from Glasgow International Airport and a short drive from the city centre — making us a perfect base for those looking to explore both sides of Scotland: vibrant and wild, cultural and quiet.
Spend the morning among the art and architecture of Glasgow’s West End, and the afternoon in the stillness of the estate. Or head north to Loch Lomond, the Trossachs, and beyond — and let the Highland air clear your head before returning to comfort, calm, and perhaps a dram by the fire.
