Your Wedding Day in Morton House at Mar Hall 2008
Mar Hall, one of Scotland’s Premiere Luxury Hotels, opened in 2004 and is the jewel in the crown of opulent retreats. We are very excited at the prospect of offering you an exquisite venue in which to host the biggest day of your life – your wedding day, and have pleasure in introducing you to the perfect wedding venue in Scotland – Morton House.
Morton House, Mar Hall’s sister venue, is a beautiful stone-built mansion, which was opened in 1919 by Prince Albert and has been refurbished to the same luxurious standards as the main hotel. She is situated just a stone’s throw away from the main reception and has a private lounge bar, large stage for entertainment and a capacity for 150 guests on a dinner/dance basis. This will be your own private venue in which to enjoy the best day
of your life with your family and friends.
Your wedding night will be complete with accommodation in a luxuriously designed bedroom in Mar Hall, with our compliments. However, you may wish to discuss upgrading to something of your personal choice. With a range of individually designed four poster suites and one bedroom apartments, we are sure the only problem you are likely to face is the difficulty in choosing from our sumptuous selection.
The facilities at Mar Hall are second to none and will have everything a bride should desire in preparation of her big day including The Aveda Concept Spa, incorporating 12 therapy rooms, manicure/pedicure station, swimming pool, fitness centre and organic café for a quick healthy snack in between treatments .
The location couldn’t be better. Situated just five minutes drive from Glasgow Airport and 20 from the city, Mar Hall is easily accessible from the M8, yet has the beauty and tranquillity of the River Clyde and Kilpatrick hills almost within reach.
Included in the facility fee are the services of a dedicated Event Manager throughout the planning stages of your wedding, personalised menus, place cards, and highly skilled banqueting staff. We strongly recommend that you consider hiring the services of a professional Master of Ceremonies to give your wedding day that extra special touch. However, our banqueting manager will be happy to announce dinner, the cutting of the cake, the Bride & Groom (family) and the introduction of the first speaker,
who, in turn will introduce the next.
Mar Hall (Morton House) operates a minimum spend/numbers policy. This is generally 90 guests for a seated meal for weddings taking place on a Friday or Saturday and 70 guests for a Sunday. Minimum numbers may be negotiated depending on the Bride & Groom’s choice of menu and drinks package. Please do not hesitate to request further information. We also ask that you provide an evening buffet for your guests, catering for a minimum of 50% of the total number of guests present in the evening.
Menus have been created by our Award Winning, Executive Chef, Jim Kerr.
Provisional reservations will be held for a total of 14 days. The security of your chosen date will be guaranteed upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit equivalent to the facility fee applicable, together with a signed contract. If you have any queries regarding our contractual terms, please discuss this with your dedicated Event Manager (prior to signing and accepting Mar Hall’s terms and conditions) who will be happy to assist.
We would be honoured to help you create the fairy tale setting that you have perhaps envisaged for some time, and hope that your very special day will be spent with us at Morton House.
Prices may be subject to increase for 2009 and beyond.
