Grand Hall
The Grand Hall is at the heart of Mar Hall. Formerly known as the Picture Gallery, it is 118 feet in length. This classic environment is furnished with French style Louis XIV chairs and low coffee tables. Its ornate high ceilings, paintings, tapestries and carpeting capture the breath.
The 20ft windows allow ample natural light and views of the formal gardens, where a vast Lebanese Cedar resides. A resident pianist performs on the Baby Grand to create an appropriate mood for those enjoying a light snack, lunch or Afternoon Tea.
Informal Dining:
Light lunches and snacks are served Monday to Saturday in the
historic Grand Hall from 12 noon until 4pm in a relaxed,
family-friendly atmosphere. Sunday Lunch is served between 12 noon
and 2pm.
Afternoon Tea:
Afternoon Tea can be enjoyed in the Grand Hall every day between
2:30pm and 5pm (reservations required 24 hours in advance). This
includes:
Freshly prepared sandwiches, traditional, home-baked Scottish
cakes, scones and your choice of speciality teas and coffees -
£22.50 per person
Add a little sparkle to Afternoon Tea and include a glass of champagne - £34.00 per person

Stocked with a selection of cooling beers, refreshing champagnes and premium brand spirits (including several high-end single malts), the Spike Bar is a civilised place to enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif.
It is decorated with mahogany and neutral tones and features chandeliers hanging from detailed ceilings. At 85 sq m, it is a fitting venue for a select product launch with a maximum of 50 guests.
